About Us |
|
Approximately fifteen years ago our son was restoring his Victorian house. When he tried to remove the many layers of paint from his trim, he ran into problems. He tried many of the paint removers and nothing he tried effectively removed the many layers of paint. One day he saw a demo of Lightning Strip Paint and Varnish Remover. The next time we visited him he said "Hey, Dad, look at this!" He took a spray bottle of what looked like water to us and sprayed it on his trim. Within minutes the paint had bubbled right before our eyes and within 8-10 minutes all of the many layers of paint had been removed. That's how Knute's Antiques and Restoration began! We are often asked where we got the name of our business. Knute was a nickname given to Chuck by his grandfather shortly after his birth. A much loved uncle that was still calling Chuck "Knute" was in poor health at that time. Because of our love for Uncle Buck we named our business in his honor. He name originally referred to King Knute in the English History (thus the crown in our logo) FYI: The "K" is pronounced in this name. If you have any questions please Contact us! |
